5 Top Tips. Newbies Avoid Being Stung AND Save Money.

Avoid Being Stung AND Save Money. 5 Top Tips. How do I know if I can trust a seller...?Are you new to eBay?At this time of year there is a lot of fraud going on, so I say this:1. Read Carefully:Some sellers advertise diamonds and when you read the auction it turns out their jewellery is not real. This spoils it for the rest of us. Be sure it is not a created diamond. Ask the seller if it is real or fake. Most diamond rings will have small inclusions in them, we are not talking Cartier Diamonds but most real natural diamond rings sold on eBay will have have inclusions. Always ask the seller if they have the Colour Clarity and Carat of the diamond. This will help you to find out if it is real. Combined with their reputation, take it straight to a jeweller as many of my customers have done and you can be sure of what you have. See my diamond guide in any solitaire auction.2. Less than 98% ask why.. Negatives/Neutrals:If there are any negatives or neutrals, always check to see what they were for.and always read the comments. Click on the feedback number, then click on the number in the box where it tells you how many neutrals/negatives there are and this takes you straight to the feedback and you can read the comments.3. Feedback= Reputation.Check to see if their feedback is recent. If the seller stopped selling a few months ago and recently started up again with expensive and popular items, there is a chance the sellers account has been stolen and the theif is out to make a quick profit. If it is a new account be wary, just in case. Until a seller builds up his or her feedback you can never really know if they are trustworthy or not. Always check the feedback %4. Ask Seller A Question: Always ask Questions. Most Sellers welcome questions! If you are unsure about anything ask the question, most sellers are very happy to help you out with any issue.5. Make An Offer:If the seller has a Buy It Now or Best Offer, it means they are willing to take LESS, so ALWAYS make a sensible offer, try taking 10% off the price and make the offer, see what happens, you might be surprised!! Save what you can! that's what I say..Christmas is expensive enough.
