Summer Specials happened relatively late in the scheme of things
(likewise Topper) so they are very plentiful on E Bay - none of this
scarce and rare stuff that you get from vendors. They're not!! In very
high grade however it's fair to say that they are tough, particularly

the success of the Beano spin-off Dennis the Menace into a separate
bi-annual publication, Beryl appeared in Sep 1958 in her own first
annual for the Christmas market though it is the 1959 annual. From 1961
the covers were laminated in line with Dandy and Beano books. InMar
2007 Comic Book Postal Auctions sold the first Beryl annual in VFN for

annuals turn up a lot on E-Bay though not so much #1. The demand was
under-estimated for this and quickly sold out. Issues thereafter are
